Experienced lifeguards in motor boats and SUP, as well as clearly marked routes with buoys will be on the \u00abtrack\u00bb throughout the event. Finally, the 15th Winter Crossing of Vouliagmeni is organized with the approval of the COE.<\/p>\n<p>A major sponsor of the race is the Natural Mineral Water \u00abVikos\u00bb, which has been recognized as a natural mineral water suitable for a diet low in sodium, low in salts and high in calcium, while contributing to the good functioning of the body. All participants will enjoy and be refreshed with the Natural Mineral Drinks \u00abVikos\u00bb which ensure proper hydration of the body as they are the only ones with Natural Mineral Water and Greek fruit juices.<\/p>\n<p>Melissa will be found on the 15<sup>The<\/sup> Winter crossing of Vouliagmeni with her food truck, \u201cMelissa On the road\u201d and will treat all participants to delicious Melissa pasta recipes. Because in sports we are pasta makers too!<\/p>\n<p>DHL will warm the swimmers with isothermal blankets, while Nestl\u00e9 will stimulate them with Fitness Cereal Bars. Chiquita, the athletes' favourite banana, is the official fruit of the 15th edition of the event.<sup>th<\/sup> Vouliagmeni and will distribute premium Chiquita bananas to the swimmers. Each team member will register separately and indicate his\/her team name in the special field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distances - Routes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6477\" src=\"https:\/\/nov.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/NOV-swimming-pic-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"1160\" height=\"632\" \/>750 meters (short distance)<br \/>\n1,500 metres (medium distance)<br \/>\n3.000 meters (long distance)<br \/>\nRoute for children (ages 9-13): 50 meters<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Those who have reached the age of 14 and are in relatively good physical condition are eligible to participate in the short and medium distance.<br \/>\nFor the long distance, 16 years and older are eligible to participate with the requirement for 16 - 18 years olds to show their athlete's card.<br \/>\nFor participants under 18 years old, signed permission from their guardian will be required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Categories without wetsuit (Men - Women):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>14-29 years old<br \/>\n30-44 years old<br \/>\n45-59 years old<br \/>\n60+<br \/>\nThe first 3 men and the first 3 women in each course (open format) will be awarded with a wetsuit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timekeeping:<\/strong> There will be electronic timing for all categories and distances of the day<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start &amp; Finish:<\/strong> The start will be in the water and the finish will be in the water again, in a specially designed arch,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the 750-1,500-3,000 meters, the first three in all age categories, men and women without wetsuit, will be awarded.<br \/>\nIn the 750-1,500-3,000 metres, the first three overall wetsuit winners in men and women will be awarded.<br \/>\nIn the children's races all children will receive a participation medal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lifeguards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The lifeguard coverage of the event has been undertaken by the largest, most organized and experienced team of lifeguards, LIFEGUARD HELLAS www.lifeguardhellas.gr. Throughout the event there will be their special boats, which you should approach in case you feel the slightest discomfort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regulations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants can compete in goggles or a swim mask and a swimsuit or wetsuit.<br \/>\nIf the water temperature is below 18 degrees Celsius, for the distance of 3,000 meters we advise the use of a wetsuit.<br \/>\nThe use of buoyancy aids or swimming aids such as snorkels, boards, \u201chands\u201d, flippers, etc. automatically disqualifies the swimmer from participation.<br \/>\nThe only exception is the 60+ category, for which the use of a mask and respirator is permitted.<br \/>\nIt is necessary to present a Medical Certificate or Athlete's Card upon receipt of the participation
