The Vouliagmeni Nautical Club received the certification that the quality of the bathing waters on its shores are crystal clear and meet the highest and strictest quality standards following a relevant inspection.
In more detail, water samples were taken from the two points of the V.N.C.(molos and south beach) and were analyzed for the two types of bacteria that are an indication of pollution from sewage or livestock waste: coliform bacteria (Escherichia coli) and enterococci (intestinal enterococci).
The Group passed the exams with flying colors, since the results for the certificates were excellent and much lower than the State's predetermined limits (JMD 8600/416/E103, as published in the Government Gazette 356/tB/26-2-2009 in harmonization with Directive 2006/7/EC concerning the quality of bathing beaches).
The test report was carried out at the certified Laboratory "Analytical Laboratories of Athens S.A.", which has been accredited since 2002 by the National Accreditation System according to the ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, for microbiological and chemical analyses of water, food and feed, for biological tests in water as well as for the sampling of water, liquid and solid waste, environmental samples and surfaces in food handling areas.
