The Olympic Silver Medalist Marios Kapotsis in the team of V.N.C.

The Vouliagmeni Nautical Club announces with great pleasure the return of the Olympic silver medalist in Tokyo, Marios Kapotsi, to the men's team.

Marios Kapotsis returns to the team of Lemos, as he has honored the Club's cap in the past and even for four years, culminating in winning the Greek Cup in 2017.

The international regional player was born on September 13, 1991 and made his first steps in water polo at the academies of Paleo Faliro. He then joined the Panionios team, with whom he signed his first professional contract. He stayed with the Nea Smyrni team until 2012, with whom he managed to reach the LEN Trophy final twice (2009 and 2011).

In the summer of 2012, he signed a contract with Olympiacos Piraeus, with whom he won two championships and two Greek Cups (2013, 2014), before joining V.N.C.

In 2018-2020 he played for Steaua Bucharest, with whom he won two Romanian championships and one Cup. In the summer of 2020 he returned to Olympiacos after 6 years, where he won the Greek League and Cup as well as the Supercup.

A few days ago, Marios Kapotsis experienced the most glorious moment of his athletic career, as he won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics with the Greek National Team and returns with great appetite to the Vouliagmeni Yacht Club, with whom he signed a three-year contract.

Marios Kapotsi's statement about his return to V.N.C.: "I am very happy to play for Vouliagmeni this year. It's a team where I spent 4 very nice years in the past, I'm still very attached to the area and the people. After all, it is my home for the last 10 years there. I hope to have a good year with good health and to achieve all the goals that the coach will set".

We welcome the Silver Medalist of Tokyo, Mario Kapotsis, to the V.N.C. family!
