Hundreds of colorful caps flooded the magnificent bay of Vouliagmeni giving unique images! In the water, more than 25 fully equipped lifeguards of the leading Lifeguard Hellas, in floats, boards and other means, took care of the safety of the athletes.
In the 1000 meters and the category without uniform, Alexandros Skoutelas crossed the finish line first, with Yannis Veneto second and Manolis Piperidis third. In the same category in the women's category, the first was Athanasia Sousani, second with the same time were Nefeli Kavada and Georgina Konstantopoulou and third was Anastasia Birba.
At the same distance in uniform, the winner was the Russian Nikita Kislov, second was the Russian Ilya Yablovnsky and third was George Mintziviris. In the women's race Olympia Bolosi, Pantelidaki Stefania and Danae Elina Makridaki completed the top three.
In the 2500 meters without uniform, Mike Argyris won the first place, with Lambros Karountzos in second and Nikos Kourliouros in third. In the women's race, Efthimia Lastiki crossed the finish line first, with Marissa Zoumi and Athanasia Konstantopoulou in second and third place respectively.
At the same distance in uniform, the Greek triathlon champion Grigoris Souvatzoglou finished in first place, with Panagiotis Dimopoulos a few seconds behind him in second place and Antonis Lathouras also in close proximity, in third place. In the women's race, the multiple champion Tonia Mahaira was the one who finished first with Evangelia Gotzia and Olga Ioannidis in second and third place.
In the long distance of the 5000 m race without uniform, everything was decided in the seconds. The winner of the race was Nikos Simantiras with Haris Siatounis in second and Vassilis Demetis in third place. In the women's race, Katerina Gioni won comfortably, leaving Marinopoulou Georgia in second place and Christina Gonidi in third.
In the long distance in uniform, Ukraine's Konstantin Ukradyha won by a wide margin. Spyros Chrysikopoulos was second and George Alyfantis third. And in the women's race the first place was a Ukrainian affair, with Oksana Vysochyna crossing the finish line first. In second place we had Angeliki Marlagoutsou and in third, Maria Kamisaki.
After the finish, all participants enjoyed a pasta lunch from the top Italian restaurant Vincenzo in Glyfada, unique straws and pies from the famous Zaxos Grill in Vouliagmeni, Nestle fitness bars and refreshed themselves with Zaros water.
The event was honored with the presence of the Mayor of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni, Grigoris Konstantelos and the Paralympian of Rio Dimitra Korokida with her coach Athina Chatzistyli.
