…about cases
At the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club we had a case, which we were informed about on the night of August 18th and communicated with an official announcement to all our Members.
We took all the necessary preventive measures in collaboration with the official bodies of the Greek National Public Health Organization. We took measures that were more than necessary strict and intensive in relation to what the protocol stipulates. And we did so with the safety of all of us as our primary priority.
…about case identification
Many were asking about the identity of the case, in order to check the proximity they may have had. EODY is vertical and does not share sensitive personal data with anyone.
After assessing the potential risk and the relevant tracing, the EODY informs those it deems necessary to provide personalized instructions.
So, instead of enlisting our contacts to identify the case, we must focus on the task imposed on us by our individual responsibility: personal hygiene, wearing a mask, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds.
…about the spread of information & “fake news”
We would like to address this point in a dissemination of information that wants the Club to be "full of cases" among athletes, members, and even the entire water polo team. Perhaps it comes from a group of individuals who want to harm the Club.
We want to address a strong call to our Omiliki family: We urge all members not to adopt unconfirmed information they receive.. The dissemination of untrue false information only results in the negative image of our Group, the creation of panic and general disruption. Our individual responsibility is not limited to maintaining social distancing and personal hygiene rules.
Our individual responsibility is also expressed in the management of the information that reaches us.
Surely none of us wants to become part of a "fake news" chain.

...about control at the entrance to the N.O.B.
The key to success in controlling the spread of the disease lies in timely and accurate tracing. This was the basis for the successful response to the case found in the Group on 18/08/2020.
To achieve proper tracking, we strongly recommend that all our members demonstrate tolerance and good will towards the concierge staff performing the identification.
Identity verification does not negate the importance or identity of the member.
The identity check is not intended to offend the member or their companion. It has the sole goal of protecting us and ensuring our safety.
Our members are kindly requested to be tolerant with this process of the V.N.C.
…about individual responsibility measures
We strongly recommend that our members remain outside the Group for 7 days after their return from summer vacation.
During this time, you should observe all distancing measures and be vigilant, so that if there are even mild symptoms, you should visit the doctor, or if there has been a person in your environment who has tested positive for coronavirus, you should follow the instructions of the Hellenic Public Health Organization.
It is strongly recommended that our members undergo a Covid-19 PCR test before returning to the Club.
Given its collaboration with the Biomedical Group, V.N.C. has ensured for its Members the PCR Covid-19 test at a particularly preferential price – call the Secretariat for information.
