A particularly interesting article was published by the editors of aquafeed24.com, which provides a statistical report regarding the registration results of Sports Clubs in the Registry of the General Secretariat of Sports so far.
According to aquafeed24.com, 5,390 clubs active in amateur sports in our country, followed the process of registering themselves in the Registry of the General Secretariat of Sports.
The clubs were audited according to the competitive and financial criteria set by the new Sports Law for the acquisition of Special Sports Recognition by the General Secretariat of Sports. Among all the clubs, to date 206 meet all the criteria and only 3 in the wet track that belong to the KOE and are active throughout the Greek territory.
One of these 3 clubs that obtains Special Athletic Recognition from the General Secretariat of Sports is the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club, which according to the official sports body of our country, meets the competitive and financial criteria for its inclusion in the relevant registry. It is our wish that the large number of 2,689 clubs that do not meet the criteria for approval be reduced to a minimum, so that children who start sports and established athletes belong to and participate in clubs approved by the state.
The recognition of the VNC by the General Secretariat of the Navy confirms that the internal operation of the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club is governed by a strong regulatory framework aimed at promoting nautical sports, with financial transparency and sound procedures.
