Vouliagmeni Nautical Club is pleased to announce the transfer of water polo player Amy Ridge, who will be the second foreign player of our team for the 2021-2022 season.
Amy Ridge is originally from Australia and was born in Sydney on 15 August 1996. She plays as a perimeter player and in defence.
A few days ago she made her first appearance at the Olympic Games in Tokyo with her country's national team. She has also won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships in Guangzhou. In addition, she was part of the team that defeated the perennially undefeated United States by a score of 10-7 at the 2018 FINA Intercontinental Cup. That same year, she was named the Australian League's second-leading scorer with 50 goals in 22 games.
After signing her contract with V.N.C., Amy Ridge said: "I am excited to sign with Vouliagmeni for the new season. The club has a great history in women's water polo and I hope I can contribute to future successes."
