V.N.C. renewed with Marina Kotsioni for the women's A1 water polo team

The Vouliagmeni Nautical Club is pleased to announce the renewal of its cooperation with the aquatics athlete Marina Kotsioni.

Marina Kotsioni was born in 1999 and has been in the Club's family since she was 16 years old, when she transferred from Tritonas Maroussi. She plays as a goalkeeper and has been a key member of our women's team all these years, contributing to all the successes, culminating in winning the Greek Cup in Chios in 2019 and 3rd place in the Euroleague in the same year. In fact, in the 2021 Greek Cup she was named the most valuable goalkeeper of the competition, with her excellent performance in the final and her numerous penalty saves.

In terms of age categories, Marina Kotsioni has won the Greek championship with the 1997-born in 2016, as well as that of the 1999-born in the 2017 season, while she also has other medals with V.N.C. in the minor categories.

With the national team she has participated in the Junior Women's World Championships in New Zealand in December 2016, in the 2018 European Junior Women's Championship in Madeira, Portugal, while in the same place in 2019 with the Junior Women's National Team she took 4th place in the World Championships. In addition, with the Women's National Team, she has participated in the 2019 Europa Cup in Italy and the 2019 World Championships in Guangzhou.

After the renewal of her contract with V.N.C., Marina Kotsioni said: "I am happy to continue in my team. I will do my best. The atmosphere in our team is very good and it will help us to achieve our goals".
