The World Windsurfing Championships for youth under seventeen years of age were held in Torbole, Italy, between October 20-31, 2021.
Participations exceeded 300 from 18 countries, confirming once again that this category is the largest in the windsurfing world, especially in a difficult time with many restrictions.
The championship was a tough test as 15 races were held.
The V.N.C. athletes were there with their coach, showing a very good presence, promising that in the next race they will be on the podium.
Danae Anagnostou, who competed in her first international competition, took 7th place in the U13 girls category.
In the same U13 category, the athletes who recently transferred to our group, Philippos Manakoglou, in 19th place for boys, and Giorgos Apostolidis, in 32nd place.
Nefeli Anagnostou, after an undesirable start, eventually rose to 20th place.
The coaches of V.N.C. Kostas Moutsatsos, Alexandros Giakas and Sofoklis Souloutzidakis are very optimistic about their newly formed team and can't wait for the next championship.
