At the Water Polo Academies of the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club, we aim to offer incentives to young athletes so that they can bond with their team, have important sporting experiences and love the sport of water polo.
In this context, VNC took the initiative to organize a Pro-Mini Tournament at its facilities for children born in 2013, 2013 and 2014. The sports community of water polo academies warmly welcomed the Group's move, and the participation was remarkable: the sports clubs Apollon Smyrnis, Ilioupoli, Ilisiakos, Panathinaikos and Panionios were present. The NOB team, given the numerical superiority of athletes, participated with two teams: VNC Red &VNC Blue.
From Friday, February 4th to Sunday, February 6th, the young players played with great enthusiasm, while parents had the opportunity to admire them from the stands, adhering to all safety protocols.
Team spirit, respect and noble competition were the main characteristics of the Tournament, while the wonderful weather was an ally for the entire three days.
The Tournament concluded with the awarding of medals by the Tokyo Silver Olympians and athletes of the A1 men's water polo team of the National Olympic Committee of Greece, Konstantinos Giouvetsis and Marios Kapotsis. All the children had the opportunity to meet their sports role models up close, get autographs and have their photos taken with them.
