A very interesting meeting was held by the Pre-Competition Swimming Department of the V.N.C. . The young athletes aged 9-12 had the opportunity to meet Daphne Kourounioti, an athlete from the competitive team who trains with Spilios Messinis.
The goal of the meeting was to bring the young athletes into contact with a strong athlete from our Club who they see training alongside them every day, so that the athletic role model can begin to be cultivated in their minds.
Coaches Spilios & Spyros Messinis and Rallouka Chidirioti spoke to the children about Daphne's distinctions at the Panhellenic and National level. Of particular interest in the meeting was the analysis of a successful race by Daphne, where the coaches had the opportunity to explain the technical characteristics. Afterwards, the children asked her questions regarding her childhood and her first contact with the water, as well as her subsequent swimming career to date.
