A great sporting event took place on the weekend of June 19-20 at Stratos Lake in Agrinio. The Vouliagmeni Nautical Club revived, after a multi-year hiatus, the international water skiing race "Nicole Verykiou 2021" for the first time in Agrinio.
A two-day event with impeccable organization and ranking list measurement, which took place after 7 years. This is a triathlon race that took place at Lake Kaiafas in the past, due to the high demands in terms of water and track conditions.
The Vouliagmeni Nautical Club has, over the past two years, created the training center for its water skiing team at Stratos Lake. Taking advantage of its experience in this area, it organized the "Nicole Verykiou" competitions, which had been on hold due to the lack of a suitable track.
Confirming the importance of the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club competitions, it is worth noting that the "Nicole Verikiou" competitions were selected by the World Water Skiing Event & Athlete Management System (EMS).https://ems.iwwf.sport) as a test event. In this context, the matches were constantly on-line with the system: measurements, results, live video and score.
The global authority of EMS expressed its warm congratulations for the impeccable organization to the NOV. Accordingly, the organizer Vouliagmeni Nautical Club owes a big thank you to the Hellenic Committee with Chief-Judge Aristotelis Balais, Measurer and Homologator Giorgos Alexandris, judges Christiana Mamali, Aliki Eleftheriadou, Vasilis Balais and driver Antonis Anastasiou.
Finally, it is worth noting that this particular system started this year and the V.N.C. race was essentially the 1st International race in Greece.
