The Vouliagmeni Nautical Club announces with great pleasure the acquisition of the Olympic silver medalist in Tokyo Dimitris Skoubakis, for the next two years.
In his first participation in the top global sporting event of the Olympic Games, he won the silver medal with the men's national team.
Dimitris Skoumpakis was born in 1998, he plays as a defender and started his career at N.O. Chania, while he came to Athens for A.N.O. Glyfada. Until this year he played for Olympiacos Piraeus. The Chania athlete has more than 80 games with the men's national team, while he also participated in the 2018 European Championships and the 2019 World Championships with the Blue and White.
With the small national teams he has won the bronze medal in Baku in 2015 at the European Games and the World Junior Men's Championship in 2017.
After signing his contract, Dimitris Skoubakis said: "I am very happy about this new step in my career. I will serve a historic club with goals and dreams. I am looking forward to the new season, I am ready to start working hard and achieve all of our goals as a team."
