The Vouliagmeni Yacht Club is pleased to announce the appointment of the General Director of Water Polo V.N.C. by the Olympic champion and former captain of the National Team and the V.N.C. team Christos Afroudakis.
The contribution of Christos Afroudakis will help even more in the development and growth of all the water polo departments of V.N.C. The fact that his contribution will be on a voluntary basis, underlines the family ties that Christos has with V.N.C.
Christos Afroudakis said:
«From the first day that I decided to leave the sport, I put myself at the disposal of the Management of the Vouliagmeni Yacht Club. My goal is to voluntarily help the Club, which I have offered and has offered me a lot, both in my sporting career and in my personal life.
I feel it is my moral obligation to pass on to the new generations at least a part of the experience I have gained over the years from the sport of water polo, at Collegiate and National level, putting in my turn a small stone in the development and the realization of their dreams.
I thank the Management of the V.N.C. for its confidence in me by assigning me the honorary position of General Director of the Water Polo Department.»
