With great pleasure, the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club announces the extension of its multi-year cooperation with the water polo athlete, Vasiliki Diamantopoulou, for the 2021-2022 season.
Vasiliki Diamantopoulou was born on March 12, 1993 and first joined V.N.C. in the summer of 2013, while until then she played for Nireas Halandriou. She plays as a defender and on the periphery.
Vasiliki Diamantopoulou's contribution to the Club's women's team is undeniable, culminating in the Greek Cup in 2019, while her presence was also crucial in the European paths of V.N.C., with highlights being her participation in the Euroleague final in 2014 and the LEN Trophy final in 2016.
Along with her presence in the Club, Vasiliki Diamantopoulou had brilliant moments with the women's national team, such as the silver medal in 2018 at the European Championships and winning the Europa Cup in the same year.
After signing her new agreement with V.N.C., the experienced athlete said:
