The Vouliagmeni Nautical Club is upgrading its systems with the aim of providing the best possible experience for its Members, athletes and employees. The controlled access system at the V.N.C. facilities is being modernized and now the entry of Members and their families is carried out using their biometric characteristics.
What does this mean?
After registering in the new system, all that is required to enter the Club is to look at the special screen located at the entrance of the concierge. Correspondingly, to exit, you will again simply need to look at the special screen located at the exit.
How can I register for the new system?
All you need to do is visit the V.N.C. Secretariat, where all you will need to do is stare steadily for 3 seconds at the special registration screen in the new system.
Should all my family members make the change? Can't I do it for them?
Registration requires the personal presence of each person in your Member's account, as their personal characteristics are recorded.
What will happen with the use of cards to enter the Club?
After the registration of all Members in the new access system is completed, the use of a card for entry will be abolished and will not be able to be used in our new systems. During this transitional stage that we are going through until the transition is completed, the card from the previous system will continue to function. However, this will be abolished within the summer, so it is necessary for all our Members to have registered in the new system, so that they can enter the V.N.C.
What do I need to do after registering in the new system?
Now, once you register for the new biometric access control system, all you need when you come to your Club is your good mood and your sunscreen! You don't need to search for your membership card in your bag and wait at the entrance to find it. The biometric reading system is so advanced that it recognizes you even when wearing a protective mask.
What about the protection of my personal data?
The measurement and encoding of biometric facial geometry features by the system does not create a file of personal data that could subsequently be reproduced in any way. In this context, your personal data is secure.
