The V.N.C. pre-competitive swimming team participated in the 9-10/11-12 year old Winter Games that took place at OAKA between March 19 and 20.
In the 9-11 year old category, the rising swimmers of the preliminary team won 5 individual medals and 5 placings in the round of 16. Specifically, Maria Proviadaki won two Silver medals in the 50 meter breaststroke and 50 meter butterfly in the 9 year old girls category. Selina Passios won three Silver medals in the 11 year old girls category: in the 200 meter backstroke, the 200 meter freestyle and the 400 meter freestyle respectively.
In the 12-year-old category, our athletes won a total of 2 individual medals and one team medal in the boys' relay, while there were 18 placings in the round of 16. From the girls' team, Iria Spyrtzi won the Bronze medal in the 50-meter backstroke, in the boys' team, Angelos Karagrigoris won the Silver medal in the 50-meter Butterfly.
