HabaWaba, 29 teams, 6 countries, 1 champion: the NOB

The Habawaba Greece 2018 international water polo tournament was completed on Sunday 8 July under torrential rain at the Anog swimming pool, with the team NOB Bebbies winning the first place after an exciting final against N.E.Larissa. Stavros Tsagozis“ 2007 team, with 10 wins in 10 games and mainly by playing ”clean" and correct polo, showed that they can achieve important distinctions in the upcoming age group championships. What is certain is that from the very next day, hard work and a lot of training awaits them in the Neck.

The 2nd team of NOB, the Poseidones (2008/2009), exceeded the initial expectations, winning the 4th place of the Silver League (12th place out of 29 teams) with 5 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw. The youngsters of NOB, under the guidance of Spyros Boulougouras (Antigoni Roubesi was absent due to the Mini Girls' final), played with great passion and tenacity against bigger opponents, they paid it forward and gained useful experience and performances.

On Sunday night, in the arms of the champion babies, they all dove into the pool with their clothes on, crying with joy. The NOB boys dedicated the cup to their teammate and friend Hector Stephanopoulos, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in the game against ANOG and will be out of action for 6 weeks.
